The Cathedral NWA 2025

Hateful and I held our inaugural Annual Planning Retreat last weekend, focusing on our vision and goals for 2025. We’re thrilled about what we can achieve together in the coming year! As always, our vision remains to foster a vibrant and safe community that embraces the diverse representations within the lifestyle. While one of our goals is to establish a dedicated community space, we want to be realistic about our ability to meet this goal in 2025.  We are always keeping our eyes open for a worthy space, but want to focus on building strong relationships and engaging the community first and foremost. This effort requires contributions from all of us—it’s something Northwest Arkansas (NWA) both needs and can achieve!

We also soft-launched our new logo during the retreat. This abstract design reflects our core values, represented in our signature colors: red, black, and white. The triangle symbolizes our motto, “Explore, Educate, Express,” with its three sides. The arrangement conveys a sense of community, as well as grandeur and high standards, through its shape and upward direction. We hope you like it—you’ll be seeing it everywhere!

Our 2025 schedule of events is another exciting development. Rooted in our values and a desire to connect, it includes some big plans for the year, with the first quarter (January through March) fully mapped out.  Here’s what you can expect:

• Monthly Activities: Each month will feature our public munch, one or two social nights (like an in-person game night or other outing), and a class or workshop.
• Play Parties: We’re encouraging members to attend play parties at nearby dungeons, including 13th Floor, Dungeons Down Under, and Oklahoma Power Exchange. By attending these events, we’ll be supporting and engaging with neighboring communities. We’ll also assist others who want to explore these opportunities!

For outdoor enthusiasts, we’re planning camping, hiking, and floating trips as the weather warms up. The Illinois River offers some excellent options for these activities. When outdoor events aren’t feasible, we’ll pivot to indoor gatherings like Kinky Game Nights or similar events. Additionally, we’re planning seasonal celebrations, including holiday-themed events later in the year. Whether outdoors or indoors, we aim to keep them fun and, whenever possible, kinky!

We are incredibly hopeful for the future of this community. Each of you contributes to making it wonderful, and we’re honored to be part of it. Let’s make 2025 our best year yet!
